Physical Description: Large
pitcher's frame. Wide, mature upper body, fully filled-out
lower. Below-average athlete. Size is imposing on the mound.
Body will need maintenance and bears watching.
Mechanics: Three-quarter arm slot, live arm. Starts
with hands high, uses a high leg kick. Falls to first base. Lots
of effort. Does not keep consistent release points.
Fastball: Plus-plus fastball sits high 90s and
tops out at 102 mph. Solid arm side movement at high velocities.
Below-average command and control.
Slider:
87-89 mph. Tight vertical drop. Average offering that flashes
above-average. Makes really good use of the pitch.

Career Notes: Spent nine
seasons in the Giants’ organization. Tore his labrum in the
2020-21 off-season winter league, missed the entire 2021 season.
Signed minor league deal with Boston in January 2024.
Summation: Low-risk, high reward arm.
Fastball-slider combo is tantalizing, particularly if Red Sox
pitching staff can work on honing his control and command.
Absent that, will serve in a Triple-A bullpen role.
Note: This page will be
updated with a complete scouting report after the scouting team
has seen the player in person.
