Physical Description: Average
build, minimal remaining projection.
Mechanics:
Throws from a low-three-quarters arm slot. Starts on the first
base side of the rubber, feet in line towards the plate and
angled toward the third-base dugout. Then turns his upper body
toward third while stepping towards first. Jerky, effortful
delivery with a lot of moving parts. High leg kick and long arm
action with a stab behind. Comes across his body, which creates
deception.
Fastball: 92-94 mph. Tops out
at 95 mph. Pitch shows sink and arm-side run. Looks to generate
weak contact on the ground with the pitch. Fringy command and
control. Potential average offering.
Slider:
80-82 mph. Long, horizontal, sweepy break. Primary out pitch and
has shown bat-missing ability in the low minors. Potential
average offering.
Changeup: 83-85 mph.
Firm with some sink. Third pitch, inconsistent. Potential
below-average offering,

Career Notes: Was selected by
Tampa Bay in the 17th round of the 2017 Draft, but elected to
attend Arkansas. Spent four years at Arkansas prior to
transferring to TCU. Missed the entire 2019 season after having
Tommy John surgery. Was set to participate in the 2022 Fall
Performance Program that was canceled due to Hurricane Ian.
Summation: Potential minor league depth
arm. Ceiling of an organizational reliever. Has shown the
ability to miss bats in the low minors, but was old for the
level and needs to perform against more age-appropriate
competition. Lack of a plus pitch or velocity limits upside.
Should be a serviceable depth arm though, capable of throwing
strikes and jumping between levels if needed.
