Scouting Report
: Chen played junior ball in Taiwan with Che-Hsuan Lin. Very good defensive catcher, who calls a good game. Above-average arm, and solid receiving skills, but mediocre pop times. Advanced for his age. Line drive hitter, with limited power potential. High leg kick timing step going into his swing - almost has that stereotypical slap hitting approach as you see from a lot of young Japanese players. Fairly raw offensively. Small frame for a catcher.
