Scouting Report: Daeges has a huge lower body and a spread out stance. His swing has big extension on it and he turns on the ball pretty well, finishing up with his top hand off the bat. He's an all-around good hitter with above average power from the left side of the plate. Good bat speed, fair plate discipline. At this stage, Daeges is below average in the field and has played a lot of DH, but has improved steadily. The organization has tried Daeges at 3B, 1B, and corner outfield, and with some improvement could he be adequate at all 3 positions. Played mostly LF in 2007. Underwent TJ surgery in Fall 2004.
