Scouting Report: Fantastic athlete - has quick wrists and top-notch speed. Built like a tailback. Trying to develop a patient and disciplined approach, but progress is coming along slowly. A little too aggressive at the plate, fails to work counts. Doesn't make great contact, but the ball can jump off his bat when he does make contact. When he gets on base, Dent is an above-average base runner, getting nice jumps on the basepaths. Good strength for his size and speed. In the field, Dent has an average arm and excellent range. His glove and footwork, which were subpar upon entering the organization, have improved tremendously over the past couple years. His defense is now considered an asset, and he took home the Red Sox Minor League Defensive Player of the Year in 2009. Dent began playing all around the infield in 2012, and in 2013 has also played left field regularly
