Physical Description: Average
frame with minimal remaining projection.
Mechanics: Throws from a three-quarters arm slot.
Unique arm action that generates a lot of deception. Hooks arm
behind and hides the ball well. Gets solid extension.
Fastball: 88-92 mph. Tops out at 95 mph.
Advanced command and control. Fastball plays above its velocity
due to carry.
Changeup: 78-81 mph. Best
pitch. Deceptive arm speed and good separation from his
fastball. Advanced feel and confidence in the pitch. Shows
substantial late fade.
Slider: 77-80
mph. Varies shape and might be two pitches. Some are more sweepy,
others more vertical. Below-average spin rate, but does a good
job sequencing the pitch.

Career Notes: Father, Phil,
pitched for the then-Kansas City Athletics' Rookie affiliate in
1964. Also played volleyball and
basketball in high school. Was committed to transfer to South Carolina for the
2024 college season. Played for the Bourne Braves in the Cape
League in 2022. Named MAAC Pitcher of the Year and MAAC Championship MVP in 2023.
Summation: Solid pitchability type with some
intriguing pitch characteristics. Fastball is on the light side,
but commands it well and shows some carry up. Has the type of
changeup that could carry him to at least the high minors. Safer
pick with upside if he can add some velocity or show the ability
to consistently miss bats in pro ball.

updated with a complete scouting report after the scouting team
has seen the player in person.
