Scouting Report: Labeled by Dominican Academy Director Jesus Alou as a "can't miss prospect", Espinoza is said to have extremely quick hands, excellent speed, and good ability to make contact. Not much present power, but has some ability to add strength to his frame. Likely will never be a big home run hitter - Espinoza's extra base numbers will come because of his speed rather than his power. Runs the bases well. Very good plate discipline. Spent the 2009 season on the restricted list following unconfirmed reports that he inaccurately reported his age.
