Scouting Report: Fernandez surprised many scouts with his dominant VSL performance in 2005, but hasn't shown the same success through 2008.   He has the potential to be a five-tool player, but he is still raw and struggling to make adjustments, even at the lower levels.  Makes excellent contact, probably his best asset.  Power seems to have regressed since his early seasons.  In the outfield, Fernandez has gone through bouts where he looked lost in the field.  Converted to a 1B in 2008, where he demonstrated an ability to make routine plays, but was unable to dig out poor throws and turn them into outs.   He'll still get time in LF.
