Scouting Report: Intense athlete with a strong competitive drive.  Foster has a great pitcher's frame, but is rather new to pitching.   Spent four years at Hamline U., then went off to pitch for the St. Paul Saints in the American Association.   After dominating the independent league in 2008, the Red Sox purchased his contract from St. Paul in June. Foster makes use of two- and four-seam fastballs, a curveball, and a splitter.
