Scouting Report: Dominican shortstop had a deal with Washington fall through during the early international signing period in 2007. He was highly sought after by several teams when he signed with the Sox in May 2008. Athletic with very good defensive skills all around: a strong arm, lots of range, and a nice glove. His bat is still a work in progress; struck out 119 times in 400 at-bats since 2008. Good speed on the basepaths.
