 Scouting Report: Has a little bit of pop despite his small frame. Durable and dependable. Got on base in college, but hasn't been able to hit for average in the pros. Average plate discipline and speed. Played shortstop for his first two seasons at WMU, but moved to second base in his final season, his natural position. Also able to play outfield in a pinch. Gentile has a Pedroia-esque grittiness to his overall game, making him a guy that fans love to root for.
