Scouting Report: Mexican righty, picked out of obscurity from the Angels in the 2008 Rule 5 Draft. Slight of stature and not overpowering. Smooth over the top delivery. Keeps hitters off balance with solid secondary and confidence to throw any pitch in any situation. 87-91 fastball with excellent command and good arm-side run. Tight breaking mid-70s curveball. Decent 79-82 mph changeup that he works well in the lower half of the zone. Missed 2008 season with a knee injury. Came back to impress in the Mexican League in the 2008 off-season. Underwent TJ Surgery in March 2009.
