Scouting Report: Primarily a reliever for four years at Wichita, Boston utilized Hottovy as a starter prior to his TJ Surgery in 2008. The crafty lefty throws  two and four-seam fastballs which sit around 86-87 mph, as well as a decent mid-70s changeup and a low-70s curveball.  Inconsistent command, but when he's on, he has pinpoint control. Retooled his delivery in 2005, which took some time to get used to, and led to early struggles.  Hottovy has been somewhat old for his league at nearly every level through his climb up the organizational ladder.
