Scouting Report: Former Alvirne High School star has battled some injury problems, but pitched very impressively in 2003 for GCL and Lowell.  Fastball sits around 84-87 mph and reaches 91 mph. Jackson's high 70s curveball is up to par but his changeup needs refinement.  In mid-2007 Jackson added a slider-cutter hybrid pitch that has been very effective early on.  Throws first pitch strikes. Really needs to work on consistency - he has struggled with keeping a consistent release point, and his command has struggled as a result.  Lifelong Red Sox fan.
