Scouting Report: Who's Mike Jones, you ask? To start, he's a big, strong 1B signed by Boston as a draft-and-follow from the 2004 Draft in May 2005. He has unlimited power potential.  Jones was converted from an outfielder to a first baseman in 2006, and impressed in the GCL despite being somewhat old for the league.  On the negative side, Jones is very slow on the basepaths and unathletic in the field.
