Scouting Report: Dominican right-hander with a filled-out frame. Quick 3/4 delivery, falls to the first base side after release. Electric and animated on the mound.  Relies on a low 90s cutter that has flashed plus in the past, an 83-86 mph slider, and a high-80s show-me changeup.  Subpar command, fringe-average control. Even splits. Served as the Mets' closer for part of 2014.  After three failed drug tests in 2015-2016, Mejia was suspended for life.  Was allowed to play in the DSL in 2018, and then he was reinstated for 2019. Signed with Boston in January 2019. Profiles as high minors depth with the hopes of catching lightning in a bottle again.
