Scouting Report: Pinckney is adequate defensively at the hot corner with good range and a strong arm. At the plate, Pinckney makes decent contact with average power and average plate discipline. Mostly a pull hitter, but manages to hit to all fields.  Open, strong stance.  Average speed on the basepaths. Pinckney has generally been a year behind the major league track in terms of age progression through the Red Sox system. Hits lefties significantly better than righties.
