Scouting Report: Dominican catcher with a sturdy frame.  Extremely raw.  His defensive skills are not up to par at this point in his career, as he actually has a lot of trouble dropping pitches and letting balls get past him.  As a hitter, Pinto's swing isn't ideal, as he drops his hands too much, thus decreasing his power.   Pinto was invited to minor league spring training in 2008, but was unable to make a domestic squad, and failed to impress at the DSL level in 2008 or 2009.
