Scouting Report: Big-framed first baseman out of Colombia. Spent five years in the Yankees organization and was released in late 2008 after returning from an early 2007 injury.  Went on to earn MVP honors in the 2008-2009 Colombian Winter League and Rookie of the Year honors in the Golden Baseball League in 2009.  Signed with the Sox soon after the completion of the 2009 season. Very good defensive player, he has also shown flashes of hitting for average and power. Needs to show more pull power if he's to stick at first base down the line.  Slightly above-average speed.
