Scouting Report: Despite his small frame, Ventura throws mostly fastballs, usually sitting around 91-93 mph. He also makes use of a mid-70s circle change and a decent slurve-type pitch. He has a quick and deceptive snap delivery. Needs to improve control somewhat. He has been old for his league throughout his career, which is not surprising considering that he didn't sign his first contract until the age of 21.
