Scouting Report:
Right-handed hitter with an average
frame. No remaining projection. Long swing. Lacks bat speed. Struggles
with velocity, especially up in the zone. Well below-average speed.
Fringe-average raw power. Shows gap power in game with occasional
over-the-fence power. Primarily a third baseman, but can also play first
base, second base, and left field in a pinch. Average arm and good hands,
but lacks range. Intelligent and hard-working. Gets the most out of his
tools. Great teammate, strong instincts. Undrafted out of high school.
Played four seasons at TCU, earning all-conference first team honors in
2011 and second team honors in 2012 and 2013. Has been a reliable corner
infielder since being drafted by the Red Sox in the 24th round in 2013.
Invited to major league spring training in 2020. Solid high minors
organizational player who you feel comfortable that he can play every day
at a variety of positions and hold his own at the plate. |
