Physical Description: Small, athletic frame. Needs to
add strength, on the thin side at present.
Hit:
Starts vertical and open with his hands high. Rhythmic load that
includes an abbreviated leg kick. Good separation in swing. Long
stride. Quick hands, but his bat can drag due to lack of
strength. Smooth, contact-oriented swing. Has feel for contact
and the ability to manipulate the barrel. Solid approach for his
age. Does not expand the zone or swing and miss at a high rate.
Will take a walk, but also can get aggressive early in counts.
Potential average hit tool.
Power: Not a
major part of his game at present. Produces below-average exit
velocities due to his lack of strength. Can hit the ball into
the gap with authority, but rarely drives it beyond that.
Potential well below-average game power.
Run:
Average speed. Moves well, but not a major stolen base threat.
Field: Fluid defender at shortstop. Quick
first step. Moves well laterally and is comfortable charging the
ball. Has soft hands and is quick transferring the ball from his
glove to his throwing hand. Carries himself confidently in the
field. Capable of playing both middle infield positions well.
Potential above-average to plus defender.

Arm: Solid-average arm, capable of making all the
throws from shortstop.
Career Notes:
Scouts identified him as one of the top position players on the
2022 DSL Red Sox. Was set to participate in the 2022 Fall
Performance Program that was canceled due to Hurricane Ian.
Summation: Potential up-and-down,
defense-first middle infielder. Ceiling of a
contact-and-defense-oriented everyday shortstop. Long way to go
developmentally, but has the athleticism and defensive ability
you look for in a young middle infield prospect. Will have to
make a lot of contact because power is unlikely to be a major
part of his game. Defensive ability gives him a solid base to
build from, but that can only carry him so far. Will have to
show some ability to impact the baseball in order to succeed in
the high minors and beyond.
