Physical Description:
Tall, high-waisted. Still has some projection
despite already being in professional baseball for five seasons.
Hit:
Solid bat control, line drive swing from both sides of the plate.
Good strke zone awareness. Lacks ability to make adjustments over
the couse of a game. Makes weak contact.
Power: Potential is there to
develop into a 10-15 home run hitter, but has yet to really
demonstrate that
level of in-game power over five minor league seasons. Present power is below-average.
Run:
Average runner, but will not generally be a stolen base threat.
Field: Quick first step, impressive footwork, solid
range. Soft hands. Reliable at shortstop, second base, and third
base. Advanced for his age. Profiles as an average defender at
all three positions.

Average arm.
Career Notes:
Given a large bonus in 2014, particularly compared to other
Panamanian amateurs. Traded to Houston in 2015 in a seven-player
deal that included Ken Giles. Suspended for 50 games in 2017
after testing positive for a stimulant. Has struggled
offensively at High-A and Double-A ball. Has been one of the
youngest players in his league at every level of his career.
Acquitted himself relatively well in the Major Leagues in 2020
despite having very little high minors experience. Opened 2021
at the Alternate Training Site.
Summation:
Utility man potential. Still young with developmental
opportunities depsite already having five pro seaons under his
belt. Needs to add strength and put more charge into the ball on
offense in order to excel at higher levels.
