Physical Description:
Undersized, stocky frame. Filled out, no remaining projection.
Mechanics: Throws from a high
three-quarters arm slot, starting on the third base side of the
rubber. Medium to high leg kick. Compact and quick delivery with
his upper body, gets good north-south extension. Intense,
bulldog mentality.
Fastball: 91-94 mph.
Tops out at 95. Topped out at 97 mph in college but does not
show that velocity now. Solid-average pitch has some life and
backspin to it. Solid command; keeps the ball in the zone, likes
to work in the upper half.
Slider: 88-91
mph. Solid-average pitch. Short, more horizontal shape. Has
shown the ability to bury it down and out of the zone to
right-handed hitters. Shows bat-missing ability.
Curveball: 79-82 mph. Vertical shape. Has depth and
tight rotation. Fringe-average pitch he does not throw often.

Career Notes: Father, Danny,
is a professional bowler. Did not receive any college offers out
of high school. Won the D-III NJCAA World Series at Tyler Junior
College, taking home Player of the Year and World Series MVP
honors as a two-way player. Served as Mississippi's closer in
2021. Received a non-roster invitation to MLB spring training in
2023. Really strugged in Triple-A in the first half of 2023 and
returned to Portland in June. Went on the IL in mid-July and
eventually had Tommy John surgery in October 2023.
Summation: Intriguing arm with a power
fastball/slider combination that could profile in a major league
bullpen role. Has shown bat-missing ability, but also been hit
very hard. Developing consistency is key for him to reach his
potential.
