Physical Description: Tall,
physical frame. Sturdy lower half. Some remaining projection in
his upper body.
Mechanics: Throws from a
three-quarters arm slot starting slightly towards the first base
side of the rubber. Controlled, simple delivery with no wind-up.
Steps towards the first base side before coming across his body.
Arm hook behind, but otherwise has a relatively clean arm
action. Short strider with a higher release.
Fastball: 91-94 mph. Tops out at 95 mph. Velocity has
ticked up already in pro ball. Solid command and control
profile. Pitch has life and a flatter approach angle. Also
throws a sinker with long, arm-side run.
Cutter:
88-89 mph. Short, horizontal break. Has shown the ability to
command the pitch in the zone and get it in on righties or bring
it over the outer edge.
Slider: 81-85
mph. 2-to-8 shape with tilt and depth at its best. More of a
sweepy breaking ball. Able to land in the zone or bury down and
out of the zone when looking for whiffs.

Changeup: 82-84 mph. Shows drop and fade at its
best. Pitch had a high whiff rate in college, but mainly because
of chase. Not a pitch he can consistently land in the zone.
Career Notes: Also played
bocce in high school. Father played soccer at LaSalle College.
Summation: Tall left-hander with a
pitchability-over-stuff profile, but the type of arm the Red Sox
have had success elevating as of late. Has a frame that suggests
he could throw harder and a solid four-pitch mix to build on,
with all showing bat-missing ability and having interesting
traits. Throws a lot of strikes and has an advanced profile that
should be able to succeed in the low minors.

This page will be updated with a complete scouting report after
the scouting team has seen the player in regular season game
