Physical Description: Tall,
athletic frame with some remaining projection.
Hit: Starts slightly closed and in a crouch. Timing
device utilizes a toe tap and then a slight leg lift. Strong
contact skills. Rarely swings and misses and shows good hand
speed and a line drive swing to all fields. Swing is unorthodox,
but seems to work for him and runs a very high in-zone contact
rate. Approach is solid already. Works counts and will take a
walk, but needs to improve his recognition of breaking balls.
Faces questions about how he will handle velocity, as he really
struggled against it in his pro debut. Potential average hit
tool.
Power: Average raw power, but
in-game power plays below that because his swing does not
generate much loft. Has a frame that would suggest there is some
untapped power potential, but would likely require a swing
change. Below-average power potential.
Run:
Plus speed. Shows both on the bases and in the field.
Field: Unclear where his long-term defensive
home is, but has the athleticism to profile in the outfield,
where he spent much of his first taste of pro ball and appears
to be moving full-time based on indications in spring training
2024. Also could play second base. Is still learning the nuances
of the outfield with his reads and routes, but has the raw
athleticism and speed you look for out there.

Arm: Average arm.
Career Notes:
Draft-eligible sophomore. Played in the Northwoods League in the
Summer of 2022 after redshirting as a freshman. Father, Kenneth,
played football at Tennessee. Participated in the 2023 Fall
Performance Program. Was a breakout performer in 2024 minor
league spring training.
Summation:
Potential high-end organizational player. Ceiling of a utility
player. Has solid contact skills that provide an intriguing base
to build on. Good athlete with a frame that suggests there is
untapped power potential. Athletic enough to handle multiple
positions, so if he continues to hit, has upside, especially if
he takes well to his transition to the outfield.
