Physical Description: Average
frame. Limited remaining projection in his upper body.
Mechanics: Throws from a three-quarters arm
slot. Pitches from the stretch only. Jerky mechanics that can
make hitters uncomfortable. Long arm swing behind. Cross-fire
delivery. Quick forward. Elite extension and low release height.
Fastball: 90-93 mph. Tops out at 95
mph. Pitch shows life up in the zone and has one of the highest
fastball whiff rates in the organization. Command and control
are inconsistent and come and go. Hard pitch to square up.
Potential average offering.
Changeup:
79-81 mph. Throws with deceptive arm speed. Straight change with
late fade. Solid separation from his fastball and compliments it
well. Potential average offering.
Sweeper:
79-82 mph. Sweepy, 10-to-4 break. Inconsistent shape and does
not always snap it off. Lacks depth at times. Fringe-average
potential. |

Career Notes: Older brother, Sam, was drafted
by the Mariners in 2017 and spent 2024 in the Brewers
organization after signing as a minor league free agent. Was
more highly regarded as a draft prospect coming out of high
school in Minnesota than as a college junior. Arguably had a
better sophomore year than junior year at UNC.
Summation: Potential organizational reliever. Ceiling
of an up-and-down depth reliever. Fastball/changeup combination
plays well when he commands it. Both pitches show bat-missing
ability, and he has a deceptive delivery with elite extension.
Fringy velocity holds down projection for now, but if that
starts to tick up, he has multiple other traits teams look for
in a major league reliever that could make him a more
interesting bullpen prospect.
