Physical Description:
Tall, projectable frame with room to add strength in his upper
body. Average athlete.
Hit:
Switch-hitter who starts open and vertical with a quiet load.
Uses a toe-tap timing device from the left side and a leg lift
from the right. Swing is longer from the right side, with more
chance to impact the baseball. Left-handed swing is looser and
more fluid, but more contact-oriented. Average bat speed. Has
shown solid feel for hit for his age. Makes contact on pitches
in the zone and has a low chase rate. Showed comfort against
fastballs in the low minors, but has to show he can handle
better velocity in the high minors. Pitch recognition needs
refinement. Struggles with offspeed and will get overly
aggressive. Potential fringe-average hit tool.
Power: Above-average raw power. Power plays better from
the right side. Has shown the ability to punish mistake pitches
already. Power is mostly to the pull side, particularly when
hitting from the left side. Potential for average in-game power,
but projection is fluid and could increase if he gets stronger.
Run: Average speed. Takes some time to get
going, but can go from first to third on a single. Likely to get
slower as he physically matures. Not a major stolen base threat. |

Field:
Fringy instincts, average range. Routes are a work in progress.
Has played all three outfield positions, but looks best suited
for an outfield corner, especially as he physically matures.
Potential fringe-average defender in center field and average in
the corner outfield.
Arm:
Average arm strength.
Career Notes:
Signed as a middle infielder but moved to the outfield before
debuting. Participated in the Fall Performance Program in 2021.
Was set to participate in the 2022 Fall Performance Program that
was canceled due to Hurricane Ian. Participated in the 2023 Fall
Performance Program.
Summation:
Potential emergency up-and-down outfielder. Ceiling of an
average regular. Wide range of potential outcomes because a lot
of his value is tied up in his bat. Projectable frame and
switch-hitting ability give him a leg up. Has already shown a
solid approach and ability to make consistent, hard contact in
the low minors. Struggled in his initial look in the high minors
and will have to make the adjustments necessary to make
consistent contact against better arms. If he can get stronger
and tap into his raw power, could still become a very intriguing
prospect.
