Physical Description: Tall
left-hander with a solid frame. Long levers. Minimal remaining
projection.
Mechanics: Throws over the
top. Starts on the first base side of the rubber. Max-effort
delivery. Quick arm. Stiff, vertical delivery. High leg kick.
Rigid, deceptive arm action with solid extension. Keeps arm
behind before coming forward. Violent head whack, is looking at
third base when he releases the ball. Falls off hard to the
glove side.
Fastball: 91-93 mph
four-seamer. Tops out at 95 mph. Ball jumps on hitters. Misses
bats. Command and control are both well below-average and hold
him back. Will have some outings where he pounds the zone and
others where he cannot find it all. Has previously shown more
velocity, but settled into the low 90s in 2024. Potential
average pitch at best due to concerns about long-term command
profile.
Sweeper: 81-84 mph. Long,
horizontal break. Primary pitch, throws very frequently. Will
flash bat-missing ability, but struggles to consistently land in
the strike zone. Potential average offering.
Slider: 85-88 mph. Short, horizontal break.
Struggles to land in the zone. Potential fringe-average
offering.

Career Notes: Struggled as a
freshman at Tulane, but emerged as a closer late in his
sophomore season. Pitched in one game in the Cape Cod League in
2018. Signed an over-slot deal as a draft-eligible sophomore.
Participated in the Fall Instructional League in 2019 and 2020.
Participated in the 2022 Winter Warm-Up. Bounced between
Portland and Worcester in 2024.
Summation:
Profiles as an organizational reliever with the ceiling of an
emergency up-and-down arm. Very deceptive delivery and will
flash major league-quality stuff on occasion, but concerns about
delivery and command-and-control profile hold back projection.
Dominant against left-handed hitters. Low floor; may not throw
enough strikes to break into the majors. Individual pitch data
is impressive and grades out well in models, as both breaking
balls have above-average spin rates.
