Scouting Report
: Japanese catcher spent two years of impressive ball in a Japanese independent league.  Played some winter ball in Australia.  Small but athletic frame for a catcher.   Has some speed.   Strong arm.  Doue is contractually controlled by the Red Sox, but was unable to come to a contract for the 2008 season because he couldn't obtain a work visa, and was then placed on the Restricted List.  If he obtains a work visa in 2009, it is believed that the Red Sox will have the option of signing him to a 2009 contract.
