Physical Description: Tall,
athletic frame. Former JuCo basketball player. On the lanky side
at present and has substantial remaining projection.
Mechanics: Throws from a three-quarters arm
slot, starting on the first base side of the rubber. Effort in
delivery. Stiff, jerky arm action with recoil.
Fastball: 92-94 mph. Pitch has good characteristics.
Plays up in the zone.
Slider: 83-86
mph. Power breaking ball with a high spin rate. Has bite and
depth. Intriguing pitch that already flashes bat-missing
ability. Potential above-average to better offering.
Changeup: 89-90 mph. On the firm side with
two-seamish shape. Work in progress.

Career
Notes: Played both baseball and basketball in high
school, and intended to give up baseball after his junior year
to focus on basketball. After focusing on gaining strength for
basketball, decided to play baseball that spring at the request
of his school’s coach and learned he had added roughly 10 mph to
his fastball and was touching 91. Still played both basketball
and baseball at Santa Rosa JC, but focus at that point was on
baseball. Had committed to transfer to Arizona State. Signed in
June 2023 as the first player signed under the "draft and
follow" rule after it was re-instituted in 2022. Suffered an
elbow injury at the end of his second season at Santa Rosa and
was able to rehab it with the Red Sox without surgery. Made two
appearances at the start of the 2024 season before hitting the
injured list.
Summation: High variance
arm with several key traits including standout athleticism,
projectability, and feel for spin. Fastball-slider combination
is very intriguing, but needs to develop a third pitch to have a
chance to start. Stuff would play in a bullpen role and he could
move quickly if the organization decides to go that route.
Persistent injuries are a concern and create a lot of risk with
his profile.

has seen the player in regular season game action.
