Scouting Report: Born in South Africa, Erasmus honed his craft in Brisbane, Australia with several national-level teams. Played infield and had some success as a hitter, but Boston has utilized him as a pitcher. Athletic build. Erasmus mixes in a 90-92 mph two-seam fastball with a sold mid-70s curveball and a decent changeup. Probably has room to add some velocity to his fastball. Over-the-top, smooth, and deliberate delivery. Works quickly. Very good fielder.
