Physical Description: Compact,
sturdy frame. Some remaining projection.
Mechanics: Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot
starting on the first base side of the rubber. Medium leg kick.
Easy delivery. Short arm action behind and gets some front-side
deception. Repeats delivery well.
Fastball:
91-93 mph. Tops out at 95 mph. Solid command-and-control
profile. Pitch shows arm-side run. Does not miss many bats, but
induces groundballs at a high rate. Potential fringe-average
offering.
Sweeper: 80-84 mph. Primary
secondary. Short, tight, horizontal break. At its best in the
high end of the velocity range and used to induce weak contact.
Potential fringe-average offering.
Changeup:
86-88 mph. Shows sharp, late fade. Confident throwing pitch and
has deceptive arm speed. Potential average offering.

Career Notes: Brother, Dalton,
was drafted in the 40th round by Detroit out of high school and
played four years at North Carolina State. Three-sport star in
high school who also played quarterback and scored 1,000 career
points in basketball. Got interest from colleges to play
football as well. Was named the 2019 North Dakota Gatorade
Baseball Player of the Year. Three-year starter at North Dakota
State. Missed the second half of the 2024 season due to an arm
injury and eventually underwent a hybrid Tommy John
surgery/internal brace procedure in October 2024. Will miss the
2025 season.
Summation: Potential minor
league depth arm. Ceiling of an organizational reliever.
Profiles as a pitchability right-hander with fringy stuff, but
solid feel. Knows how to pitch and throws a ton of strikes.
Pitches backwards, but does a good job mixing his pitches to
keep hitters off balance.
Note: This page will be
updated with a complete scouting report after the scouting team
has seen the player in regular season game action.
