Scouting Report: Medium, athletic frame. No
remaining projection. Easy actions. High 3/4 arm slot,
repeatable delivery. Long stride, medium to high leg kick. 90-93
mph fastball that can top out at 97 in short stints. Sinking
action, solid command. Low-80s curveball with 11-5 action. Can
get loopy. Fringe-average pitch. Low-80s changeup with downward
movement. Has some potential. Questionable command of his
secondaries. Signed for $4,750,000 in 2016, has not developed
into the pitcher one would expect from that bonus. 80-game PED
suspension in 2021. Profiles as an up-and-down bullpen arm with
the ceiling of a low-to-medium leverage middle reliever.
Acquired for cash from Milwaukee in April 2024 but struggled in
five appearances, clearing waivers after being designated for
assignment, spending time on the development list, then
ultimately getting released.
