Scouting Report: Good size.
Elite extension. Four-seam fastball averages 93 mph and touches 95
mph. Also throws a cutter, curveball, sweeper, and changeup.
showed improving control in his first full pro season but gave
up his fair share of hits. 11-to-5 curveball sits in the upper
70s and is his best pitch, posting both a high whiff rate and
strong ground ball rate. Father, Matt, played basketball for BYU and his
brother, Brett, also played baseball there. Was old for a
draft-eligible sophomore after serving a mission in the
Dominican Republic in 2020-22. Worked out at Tread Athletics
during the offseason. Reported to camp in 2026 with improved
stuff, adding 1-2 mph of velocity to his fastball among other
steps forward. Worked primarily in a piggyback relief role
before being traded to the Athletics in a minor trade in July.
