Physical Description: Filled
out, sturdy frame. Lacks athleticism, no projection.
Hit: Starts slightly open with his hands high.
Simple swing mechanics. Fringy bat speed. Average contact
skills. Patient approach, will take a walk, but also will expand
the zone at times. Inconsistent swing path leads to
below-average batted ball angles.
Power:
Produces below-average exit velocities and struggles to
consistently lift the ball, especially to the pull side. Will
occasionally flash power, but sparingly in game.
Run: Well below-average speed. Not a part of his game.
Field: Not a lock to stick behind the
plate. Receiving is passable, but lacks agility and has trouble
with balls in the dirt.
Arm:
Inconsistent arm. Will flash some above-average pop times, but
not consistently. Threw out 24% of would-be base stealers in

signed with the White Sox for $30,000 as part of the 2022
signing class. Acquired by the Red Sox at the 40-man roster
protection deadline in November 2025 for Chris Murphy.
Summation: Potential minor league depth
catcher. Ceiling of an organizational catcher. Sum of all parts
profile without a standout tool. Has to stick at catcher as he
doesn’t have the offensive ability to profile at another
position.
