Physical Description: Tall,
athletic frame with minimal remaining projection.
Hit: Starts open with his hands low by his
chest. Brief leg kick; will use a toe tap at
times with two strikes. Uppercut swing. Solid bat speed. Struggles to
consistently make contact, especially against secondary
offerings. Makes solid quality of contact. Hits the ball hard
consistently. Needs to tighten up his approach and cut down his
chase rate.
Power: Above-average raw
power. In-game power plays below that due to lack of contact.
Produces above-average exit velocities and has shown the ability
to elevate the ball to the pull side.
Run:
Average speed. Plays faster than his run times. Solid instincts
on the bases.
Field: Plus defender.
Capable of playing all three outfield spots, but has the ability
to stick in center long-term. Strong instincts and efficient
routes in center. Athleticism shines in the field and makes up
for average speed.
Arm: Average
arm. Playable in all outfield positions. |

Career Notes: Younger brother
of former major league pitcher Andre Jackson. Was a highly
regarded high school prospect and was drafted by the Astros in
the 18th round in 2022, but decided to attend Arizona State.
Standout defender in college, but was inconsistent
offensively until his junior year, when he hit .310/.402/.630
with 18 home runs. Was named to the Pac-12
all-defensive team twice. Drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in
the eighth round of the 2025 draft and signed for an over-slot
bonus. Traded to the Red Sox in December 2025 for Vaughn
Grissom.
Summation: Intriguing athletic
center fielder with a power-over-hit profile. Defensive ability
has the chance to carry him, but upside will be determined by
how his hit tool develops. If he can even get to a below-average
hit tool, he has major league potential due to his strong
combination of secondary skills.
