Physical
Description: Average frame,
filled out. No remaining projection.
Mechanics:
Throws from a high three-quarters slot starting on the first
base side of the rubber. Does not use a wind-up. Compact
delivery with solid extension. Medium leg kick and short arm
loop behind. Hides the ball. Works quickly. Effort in delivery.
Fastball: 91-93 mph. Tops out at 95 mph.
Pitch shows average life and is used to generate weak contact
rather than generate whiffs. Only throws around a third of the
time. Average command-and-control profile. Potential
fringe-average offering.
Slider: 82-84
mph. Short, 10-to-4 shape. Shape varies, with some having more
depth than tilt while others more tilt than depth. Does not
consistently snap off. Potential fringe-average offering.
Changeup: 84-86 mph. Shows fade and drop at
its best. Throws with deceptive arm speed. Potential
fringe-average offering. |

Curveball:
75-78 mph. Long, 12-to-6 shape. Show-me fourth pitch he will
work in during longer outings on occassion, but uses sparingly.
Designed mainly to steal a strike. Able to land for strikes and
front door to right-handed hitters. Potential below-average
offering.
Knuckleball:
Anecdotally, added a knuckleball in the second half of 2024, but
not yet scouted in games nor registered on Statcast in his
Triple-A appearances.
Career Notes:
Battled injuries in the summer of 2017, when he had surgery, and
apparently in the spring of 2018. Pitched in a variety of roles
in 2023 and 2024, moving between short relief, long relief, and
the occasional spot start as needed.
Summation:
Potential solid organizational depth arm. Lacks a carrying
pitch, but fastball, slider and changeup are all fringy pitches
and work well in combination to get out minor league hitters.
Minimal ceiling, but throws strikes and is the type of depth arm
every organization needs to fill out a minor league roster.
