  Scouting Report & Links

Physical Description: Average frame, minimal remaining projection.

Hit: Starts vertical and open with his hands high. Leg kick timing device. Longer swing with average bat speed. Looks to pull the ball. Very aggressive approach that needs substantial refinement. Tries to hunt fastballs early in the count. Struggles in deeper counts and with spin. Poor pitch recognition skills and high chase rate. Unclear how he will handle velocity at the upper levels. Potential below-average hit tool.

Power: Above-average raw power. Produces good exit velocities for his age. When he gets a hold of it, he is able to drive the ball with backspin. Power plays best to the pull side. Lack of hit tool brings down game power projection. Potential fringe-average power potential.

Run: Fringe-average speed. Not a major part of his game.

Field: Versatile defender who has played first, second, third, left and right since coming stateside. Average defensive profile at first base. Soft hands, capable of making most picks on throws in the dirt. Fringe-average profile at third base. Range is only ok and has some trouble charging and throwing on the run, but will make the routine play.

Arm: Above-average arm strength. Arm is playable at third base.

Career Notes:
Was set to participate in the 2022 Fall Performance Program that was cancelled due to Hurricane Ian. Missed 2023 season with a quad strain.

Summation:
Potential quality minor league depth option. Ceiling of a high-end organizational player with a chance at a cup of coffee due to his ability to play multiple positions and strong makeup. Hit tool and aggressive approach limit upside. Lacks a standout tool, but has a bunch of fringy ones and plays hard, which makes him a useful player. Type of depth player that every organization needs.
