Scouting Report: Right-handed hitting catcher with a tall, sturdy frame. Looks like a catcher, minimal remaining physical projection. Long swing with some swing-and-miss. Struggles with velocity, especially up in the zone. Knows the strike zone, will take a walk. Will show average raw power, but hasn’t translated in-game. If defensive ability continues to improve and he shows he can make enough contact, could stick around for a while in an organizational catcher role. Organization has already shown comfort moving him around between levels up to Double-A in that role. Spent 2021 season technically on the Worcester Red Sox roster, but in actuality as a spare catcher with the major league club.
