Physical Description: Average pitcher’s frame. Filled-out, large lower half. Looks heavier than listed weight.

Mechanics: High three-quarters arm slot. Starts on the first base side of the rubber. Jerky delivery with a lot of moving parts. Slight drop and drive. Live arm. Medium leg kick and slight trunk twist in delivery. When coming forward, brings head down and then back up, taking eye off the plate briefly. Doesn’t consistently finish delivery.

Fastball: 92-94 mph. Tops out at 95 mph. Velocity has increased each year since he signed. Pitch now shows cut and late finish. Potential plus offering with refined command and control.

Slider: 84-87 mph. 10-to-4 shape. Will flash depth at times. Inconsistent feel. Will flash above-average at times, but some will be below-average in the same outing. Average potential.

Changeup: 84-86 mph. Throws with solid arm speed and shows feel for offering. Has shown the ability to bury the pitch down and away from left-handed hitters and elicit swing-and-misses. Average potential offering.

Career Notes: Participated in 2016 Fall Instructional League.

Summation: Profiles as an organizational reliever. Ceiling of an up-and-down reliever. Will be entering his fifth year in the organization in 2017 and has yet to make a full-season roster. As a 23-year-old in A-ball, needs to take a big step forward to project as a major leaguer. Velocity increase and improvement with secondaries give him a chance to stick in an organizational role, likely topping out in the high minors.
