Scouting Report: Small, athletic frame with
projection. Listed weight of 140 pounds does not appear to be
accurate. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot. Relies on a
three-pitch mix: an 87-90 mph sinking fastball, a 79-81 mph
changeup, and a 74-79 mph slider. Pitches backwards, relying
heavily on his slider and changeup. On the raw side, but shows
solid feel for secondaries and bat-missing ability with them in
the low-minors. Selected by the Red Sox in the third round of
the minor league phase of the 2024 Rule 5 Draft. Intriguing
flier type as a left-handed pitcher with some intriguing pitch
traits and bat-missing ability. |
