Physical Description: Small
stature. Has added weight since signing. Frame has room to
support added strength, but will never be overly physical. Solid
athlete with good hand-eye coordination.
Hit:
Starts square and utilizes a leg lift timing device. Solid bat
speed and bat control. Covers the plate well and has a decent
approach for his age. Aesthetically pleasing swing. Has cut down
on his chase rate as he has progressed through the system, but
in 2023 struggled to make consistent contact on pitches in the
zone at times and those struggles have carried over into the
high minors. More comfortable facing right-handed pitchers than
left-handers. Likes to hunt fastballs, especially early in
counts, but is susceptible to breaking balls. Potential average
hit tool against right-handed pitchers and below-average against
left-handers.
Power: Solid-average raw
power. Has sneaky power for his size and could add more as he
matures. Needs to drive the ball in the air more and improve
quality of contact. Power is much more noticeable against
right-handed pitchers. Flashes fringe-average power when he
lifts the ball.
Run: Average speed. Will steal a
few bases, but not a major part of his game.
Field: Footwork and hands are average. Moves
well and is comfortable playing angles. Athletic and fluid in the
field and looked solid at shortstop in 2023. Has seen
significant time at second and third base as well. Played some
outfield in 2022 to add versatility as well as to create more
playing opportunities in crowded Salem infield, but stuck to the
infield in 2023. Potential average defender at several
positions.

Arm: Solid-average arm strength. Has a passable
arm at shortstop and also is usable at third. Does not always
show his best arm, but can let it fly when he needs to do so.
Career Notes: Signed on
his 16th birthday at the open of the 2018 international signing
period. Received a mid-range bonus. Participated in the 2021
Fall Performance Program. Was set to participate in the 2022
Fall Performance Program that was canceled due to Hurricane Ian.
Participated in the 2023 Fall Performance Program.
Summation:
Potential up-and-down platoon bat. Ceiling of a fringe-regular
who adds value at the plate and with his position versatility.
Lacks a standout tool, but all his tools could end up fringe to
average. Well-rounded player with solid makeup and work ethic.
Has shown the ability to make consistent, hard contact at a
young age and will take a walk, but upside is dependent on
showing he can make consistent and harder contact against more
advanced pitching.
