Physical Description: Extra
large frame with long limbs. Maxed out physically.
Mechanics:
Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, starting on the
extreme first
base side of the rubber. Hides the ball until late, creating
some deception. Medium leg kick, quick delivery but doesn't get
a ton of extension. Has some recoil after release. Aggressive
bulldog mentality. Doesn't fare well against left-handed bats.
Fastball: 94-96 mph four-seamer. Has some
vertical drop. Pounds the zone and misses bats. Above-average to
plus offering.
Changeup: 87-89 mph with sinking action and
fade. Flashes plus but not consistently. Command comes and goes.

Slider: 84-86 mph
with two-lane action, Average offering. Uses the pitch roughly
15% of the time.
Career
Notes: Had Tommy John Surgery in 2017. Drafted in 2019,
moved quickly through the Dodgers' system after the COVID year.
Traded to Boston one month after his MLB debut.
Summation: Projects as solid up-and-down
bullpen arm due to intriguing three-pitch mix. Has potential to
work himelf into a high-leverage role if he can refine the
command of his secondaries. Well liked among his teammates.
