Physical Description: Athletic frame with remaining
projection. On the small side for a catcher. Needs to get
stronger.
Hit: Finds barrels and makes
consistent hard contact. Runs very high in-zone contact rates,
but also has the propensity to chase. Comfortable hitting
fastballs, but needs to improve pitch recognition, especially
when seeing off-speed.
Power: Sneaky
power for his size. Hits a lot of balls in the air and produces
quality exit velocities for his age.
Run:
Fringe-average speed. Not a major part of his game and likely to
get slower as he fills out.
Field: Very
intriguing defensive skills. Athletic for a catcher and moves
well. Confident blocking balls in the dirt.
Arm:
Plus-to-better arm strength. Will consistently record pop times
under 1.9 seconds.

Career Notes: Caught the eye of scouts in at the
Complex as one of the top players on the Red Sox FCL squad.
Playing time in 2025 was limited in part to deferring to
rehabbers (Seby Zavala, Johanfran Garcia) and the older Gerardo
Rodriguez. Missed the last week of the FCL season in the
concussion protocol after being hit in the helmet by a
backswing.
Summation:
Intriguing catching prospect who played his way onto the radar
and was identified by scouts as one of the top position players
on the Red Sox 2025 FCL team after getting little playing time
early in the season. Shows a solid defensive profile which
features standout arm strength and ability to make consistently
hard contact for someone his age. Needs to get stronger, but has
the potential for unique athleticism for a catcher and to add
value at the plate as well if he reaches his ceiling.
Note: This page will be updated with a complete scouting
report after the scouting team has seen the player in person.
