Physical Description: Short, study catcher’s build. No physical projection left

Hit: Below-average hit tool. Solid bat-to-ball skills and short, simple, contact-oriented swing. Strong knowledge of the strike zone. Doesn’t struck out much, but makes a lot of weak contact.

Power: Little-to-no power potential. Swing lacks loft; gap power at best. Might run into a couple home runs a year.

Arm: Above-average arm strength.

Field: Solid-average defensive profile. Does a good job controlling the running game and managing pitchers. Solid receiving skills. Gets down quick to block balls in the dirt.

Run: Below-average, not a major part of his game.

Career Notes: Suspended 50 games entering 2017 season for testing positive for amphetamines. Suspended 100 games in 2018. Older brother, Josh, pitched in the White Sox and Yankees organizations.

Summation: Potential solid organizational catcher. Will stick because of his glove and could hit for a empty .250 or so consistently.
