Scouting Report:
Solid frame, catcher's build. Some remaining projection. Good
athlete. There are questions with his hit tool. Struggles to
make consistent contact. Will take a walk. Does not chase very
often. Really strong defensive profile. Moves well behind the
plate and does a good job framing. Strong arm that can control
the running game. Moved to catcher from shortstop shortly before
signing. Brother, Johnfrank, signed with the Red Sox in 2019
before being selected by the Cardinals in the minor league phase
of the 2023 Rule 5 Draft. Played in the the 2025 Spring Breakout
game. Intriguing prospect largely due to his defense. Will have
to show he can hit advanced pitching to reach his ceiling, but
has a higher than normal floor due to his defensive profile.
