  Scouting Report & Links      
         
  Physical Description: Tall, lanky frame. Has some projection but unlikely to fill out much in his early 30s.

Mechanics: Quick sidarm delivery. Low leg kick, short stride. Falls to first base side. Bulldog mentality.

Fastball: 93-96 mph sinker with tail. Four-seamer also sits at 93-96 mph with sink. Newly developing cutter sits 90-93 mph with some sink.

Slider: 83-87 mph. Oftern leads with his slider. Sweeps the zone.

Changeup: 85-89 mph show-me changeup.
   Career Notes: Born in South Africa. First South African pitcher in MLB history. Moved to the U.S. when he was 16. Signed out of his commitment to the University of Arizona by the Cubs. After being released by Chicago, bounced around several organizations from 2016 to 2023. Made his MLB debut with Seattle in June 2019. Played in the NBP in 2020.
