Physical Description: Small,
undersized frame. Not very projectable due to his height. Sturdy
lower half, some projection in his upper body.
Mechanics: Throws from a vertical arm slot starting on
the first base side. Medium leg kick, arm-heavy delivery with
effort. Quick, strong arm. Delivery gets out of sync and he
struggles to repeat it. Short arm loop behind his body. Hides
the ball. Will drop his arm slot, does not always get over the
ball. Falls off hard to the first base side.
Fastball: 94-96 mph. Tops out at 98 mph. On the
straight side. Command and control are works in progress. Walks
too many hitters and struggles to locate in the zone. Pitch
plays below its velocity. Potential above-average offering with
refined command.
Cutter: 90-92 mph.
Added in 2024. Short, horizontal break and has shown ability to
throw it for strikes. Potential fringe-average offering with
continued refinement.
Curveball: 85-87
mph. Short, vertical break. Will add tilt on occasion. Solid
feel and will use either to get ahead in the count or as a
put-away pitch. Potential average offering. |

Changeup: 89-92 mph. Rarely used in 2024, but
was using it again during spring training in 2025. Recently,
pitch was on the firm side with some vertical drop. In the past,
showed feel for and confidence in the pitch, but threw far less
often in the bullpen and pitch was inconsistent, sometimes
looking like a fastball he took something off of.
Career Notes: Signed late in the
2018-19 signing period in December. Participated in the Fall
Performance Program in 2021. Missed the first two months of the
2022 season due to injury. Returned to the IL after leaving his
July 6 start in the second inning and missed another
month-and-a-half. Missed the first two months of the 2023 season
on the injured list as well and moved into a short relief role
upon returning. Named to 2025 Spring Breakout roster as an
inning-finishing reliever.
Summation:
Potential organizational depth reliever. Ceiling of an
up-and-down relief arm. Interesting three-pitch mix from a
vertical slot, but is a stuff-over-command-and-control type
right now, and lack of fastball quality and command and control
holds him back. Will show enough raw stuff that you can dream on
a major league future, but needs to show more consistent
performance.
