  Scouting Report: Tall, athletic frame. Fringe-average hit tool. Good bat speed. Has a lot of swing and miss. Approach needs work, struggles against spin. Average-to-better raw power. Above-average speed, smart baserunner. Average glove and arm, able to play all outfield positions. Son of former NBA star Mychal Thompson and brother of NBA star Klay Thompson. Signed in February 2025 just before the start of Spring Training and received a non-roster invitation to MLB camp. Had a very good showing and looked like he may be added to the roster when it appeared that Wilyer Abreu may begin the season on the injured list. Very popular teammate. Solid emergency outfield depth.
